Cristal & Jordon came from London, hoping to treat their guests to the best wedding party of their lives. From the first meeting to the last, they mentioned that they wanted a fun and exciting wedding day, filled with laughter, dancing and beautiful surroundings. Their wedding was held at the whimsical Quinta da Penalva in Sintra, on a day where it was supposed to rain, but instead we had a warm breeze and a summer mist. Their ceremony was an emotional combination of Portuguese and English love letters, but the dinner was what actually made you want to cry purely from laughing too hard.
the concept
When thinking of a concept for this wedding, we focused on the couple's insight of what they considered a cool party. They wanted to have an intimate outlook for the whole day, while letting their guests truly embrace the quote - good food, laughter and happily ever after. We took inspiration from the bride's love for the movie Alice in Wonderland and connected it with the whimsical wedding venue. To enhance the building's growing vegetation, we decided on a combination of greenery, with touches of dusty blue and rustic colors. For the cocktail we prepared a comfortable ambiance, allowing guests to relax and enjoy great food, wine and the live band, while the game stations would start them off on a friendly competition. For dinner, an organic scenery for the table arrangements that were also "growing" in the middle of the tables. To end the night, a band and a DJ would set the tone for a party that we will never forget!
